Obituary of James Dale Stalnaker

Mr. James Dale Stalnaker, 72 years of age of Farmington, WV passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born September 26, 1948 the son of the late Fred Stalnaker and Loraine Davis Stalnaker of Fairmont, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Diane Cunningham Stalnaker in 2020. He is also survived by a son Jason Stalnaker and his wife Hannah of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren Jack and Hailey Stalnaker and a brother David Stalnaker and his wife Joanne of Ashville, NC and their daughter Jennifer. Jim was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. He owned Peoples General Store in Fairmont for several years until he changed his career to the medical profession and graduated as a Physician’s Assistant from Alderson Broaddus College. He worked in the Ear, Nose Throat Clinic at United Hospital Center. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed the beautiful state of West Virginia. Along with his son, they would hike Spruce Knob and take in the beautiful wildflowers. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Barrackville. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
