Obituary of Helen Marie Asher

Helen Marie Asher, 78, of Rivesville passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Fairmont on August 25, 1942, a daughter of the late Camille Timothy Finoche and Susan DeLuca Finoche. Helen is survived by her two daughters, Misty Carunchia and her husband Mike of Fairmont and Suzanne Davis and her husband Adam of Nashville, TN; grandchild, Elena Jane Davis of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Katherine Panescon and her husband Jimmy of Ohio and Linda Fultz of Fairmont; a sister-in-law, Janice Potts of Rivesville; the father of her daughters, Gary Asher of Rivesville; as well as several nieces and nephews. Helen was a 1960 graduate of East Fairmont High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, fashion, and going to the movies with family and friends. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Helen’s memory to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, 747 3rd Avenue, 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10017. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic it is required that masks be worn and social distancing be maintained for all arrangements. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, February 22, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 22, 2021, at 6 p.m. Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 329 Maryland Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph C.S.T. as celebrant.
