Obituary of Helen "Holly" Virginia Eddy

Helen Virginia “Holly” Eddy, born January 1, 1959 of McCurdysville Pike, Rivesville, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2021 at her home. She was born in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Robert W. and Mary Rose Bowers Greer. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Greer II. Holly is survived by her husband Robert Lee Eddy, to whom she was married for 30 years. She is also survived by sisters Roberta (Kenneth) Reed and son David; Denise Susan Greer (Larry Layman), daughter April Lynn, son Wade “TJ” Teets; Regina (Steven) Crisp, daughter Mary Ann Satterfield (Jason Noble), son Steve. She is also survived by two sons, Christopher Lee (Tammy) and Robert Lee Eddy Jr. (Jennifer). Seven grandchildren: Sydney (Michael) McDaniel, Christopher Jacob, Hayden, Isacc, Tanner, Parker, Madalyn Eddy and one great-grandchild, Klayton McDaniel. Holly worked as a candy striper (FGH), EMS for Marion County Rescue Squad, secretary for Brown Lumber, and was a dedicated homemaker. She was an excellent cook, loved knitting, crocheting, reading, the outdoors and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed her horses and cats (fur babies). Special thanks to WV Caring, the staff at United Hospital Center, the Pain Management Group with Community Care, and others who showed her so much love. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second & Jasper St., Rivesville, WV 26588, on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. A committal service will follow at McCurdysville Cemetery.
