Obituary of Harold William Eckhoff Jr.

Mr. Harold W. Eckhoff Jr., 90, of 1000 S. Maplewood Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330, died Monday morning, July 26, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born on April 16, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, a son of Harold William Eckhoff Sr. and Margaret C. Eckhoff. Surviving is one son William “Bill” and three grandchildren, Brittany, Peter, and Parker. Mr. Eckhoff retired from Equitable Life with 30 years of service as a regional vice president. Mr. Eckhoff was an avid reader that enjoyed history and science-based novels. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. He was also a graduate of St. John’s University, Queens, New York. A Gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, August 2, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV from 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM. Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the church at 10:00 AM with Reverend Father Walter Jagela presiding. The interment will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown, WV.
