Obituary of Susan Renee D'Amico

Mrs. Susan Renee D’Amico, 63 years of age passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born June 18, 1958 in Fairmont, WV the daughter of the late Eugene and Sue Fletcher Glaspell. She is survived by her husband Frank “Butch” D’Amico Jr. They had celebrated thirty-six years of marriage. She is also survived by two daughters Sarah Willis and her husband Shane of Clarksburg, WV and Jackie D’Amico of Folsom, WV; one step-daughter Nila D’Amico of Preston County, WV; four grandchildren Kaylee, Frank, Samantha and Giuliana Louise; two brothers Roger Glaspell and his wife Cathy of Boothsville, WV and Timothy Glaspell and his wife Judy of Boothsville, WV; one half-brother Jacob Glaspell of Clarksburg, WV; one sister Regina Roseberry of Boothsville, WV; one half-sister Daisy Glaspell of Clarksburg, WV and her rescue dogs Ellie Mae and Bud. Susan graduated from Flemington High School and Fairmont State College with a certification as a lab technician. She previously worked at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, Rowand Hospital in Salisbury, NC and retired from Mon General in Morgantown, WV. Her and Butch hunted the Morgan Farm and fished the Elk River and made great memories along the way. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed tasty picnics at Valley Falls State Park. To make quiet time for herself she would crochet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family at 1822 North 22nd Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301. Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on Wednesday from 10:00 AM – noon. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at noon with Pastor Aaron Cayton presiding. The interment will follow in the Claremont Cemetery, Marion County.
