Obituary of Sandra Louise Haddox

Sandra Louise Haddox, 80, of Columbus, Ohio and formerly of Fairmont, West Virginia died Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Columbus, OH. She was born January 12, 1941 in Marion County, WV a daughter of the late Gerald Schell and Dora Gayle Harris Schell. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Haddox. She is survived by her two sons and two daughters in law, Robert & Tammy Tucker and Mark & Bronya Tucker, three grandchildren, Zachary Tucker, Joseph Tucker & his wife Ella and Sarah Tucker, great granddaughter, Evelyn Renee Tucker, a brother, Gerald Schell, three sisters, Valarie Brown, Mary Russell and Lula Bell Wilson, an uncle, Lloyd Schell, special relatives and friends, Margaret Ann Baker, Betty Fast, and Sue Boyce, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Schell, Glenn Schell, and Lewis Schell, and a sister, Carole Gillum. Mrs. Haddox was a retired employee from the Philips Lighting / Westinghouse Corporation with over 35 years of service. She was a graduate of Mannington High School and attended Fairmont State College. Sandra was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Fairmont, WV, lifetime member of the VFW Post #7048 and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 10 a.m. – Noon. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home Friday at Noon with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. A private committal service will be held for the family at a later time.
