Obituary of Marianne Elsie Husty
Marianne Elsie McIe Husty, 75, of Rivesville, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Montana Mines on December 30, 1945, the daughter of the late Homer Denford McIe and Catharine Lucille Doty McIe.
Marianne is survived by her daughters, Paula Zeck and her husband Mark of Flemington and Tomi Lu Demyon and her husband John of Fairmont; grandchildren, Paige Zeck, Logan Demyon, Eli Zeck, Lydia Demyon, and Landee Demyon; a brother, Denford “Junie” B. McIe and his wife Harriett of Farmington; her beloved canine companion, Autumn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Paul Husty and a brother, William Doty.
Marianne was a Christian by faith. She earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the Monongalia County Vocational Technology School in Morgantown. She worked for over 16 years in the skilled nursing unit at Fairmont General Hospital. Upon her retirement, she served for several years as a nurse with the John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Center in Fairmont. Marianne later was a personal in-home care provider for over ten years.
Marianne enjoyed INDYCAR Series racing and especially loved watching the Indy 500 race. She was an informed Rivesville resident, often attending Town Hall meetings and taking her regular walks through town. She enjoyed crocheting and was a huge fan of Louie Armstrong’s music.

The family has entrusted the services with Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be held.
