Obituary of David Paul Brock Sr.

David Paul Brock Sr., 77, of Boothsville Community, died Monday, November 8, 2021 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born August 8, 1944 in Marion County, WV the son of the late Jesse Paul Brock and Martha Emeline Teter Brock. He is survived by his companion and best friend Linda Vincent Preston of Boothsville Community. Mr. Brock is survived by a son and daughter in law David Paul Brock Jr. & his wife Rebecca Wilson Brock of Lake Mary, Florida, a daughter and son in law Debra Hayley & her husband Alex Hayley of Cary, North Carolina, a granddaughter Catherine Hayley of Cary, North Carolina, and a good friend Dr. Aaron Pollock. David owed and operated Brock Gravely for many years. He previously was employed at a coal mine in Philippi, WV, and for Kenny Brand Gravely Tractors. Mr. Brock was Methodist by faith and was a 1962 graduate of Rivesville High School. David enjoyed fly fishing, deer hunting and the outdoors. He also liked antiquing in the Amish areas near West Virginia and going to the Carlisle, PA Car Shows. Memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating.
