Obituary of John Martin Allen

John Martin Allen, 72, of Fairmont passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Fairmont Medical Center. He was born in Fairmont on April 9, 1949, a son of the late William Francis Allen and Virginia Baker Allen. John is survived by his sister, Suzette Allen and her daughter Jennifer Barnes; brother, Jerry B. Shell and his wife Sarah; nephews, Brian Shell and his wife Lauren and David Shell and his wife Alice; and great nephews, Dan Shell and Matt Shell. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Allen. John was a graduate of Elmira High School in Elmira, NY and worked for Owens-Illinois for over 20 years as a mold maker. He enjoyed going to the movies, traveling to Portland and reading. He was a wonderful brother who took very good care of his siblings. The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554. There will be no public services.
