Dr. Tula treated my 91 year old mother at a nursing home in Morgantown, WV. She treated her with kindness, compassion and common sense. Because my mother refused to eat the puréed diet and thickened liquids ordered on her admission to the facility she was becoming severely malnourished and dehydrated. Dr. Tula tried some of the food and liquids herself. She found them to be “vile.” She said if I would agree that she would order a regular diet for her. I agreed. My mother improved immediately.

Dr P was an amazing doctor a sweet human and her kindness to everyone she met will forever be missed. I will miss our small chit chats on our short elevator rides and our passing in the hallways at SDH. What a big hit to our hospital and to all that had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a good seed and my heart breaks for her family. Rest easy Dr P and play hard. Gone far too soon.

Bobby, I am so sorry to hear this and am still trying to wrap my brain around it. Tula was such a kind, knowledgeable and caring doctor. She was one of my favorite doctors at Sutter Davis. I especially enjoyed our river rafting trip in the Grand Canyon three years ago where I had the pleasure of meeting you and Chara. One day at work a few years ago I was admiring a pair of earrings she was wearing and jokingly said, "can I have them?" She stated that Bobby had given them to her. She'd have to ask him. Well, I laughed and said it was just a joking comment. Several days later, I was given an envelope by the charge nurse with my name on it. When I opened it it contained those earrings! I told her I couldn't take them, but she insisted. They have so much more meaning to me now. My soul hurts, as I am sure yours does too. I hear her voice and her see her contagious smile in my mind. I will always remember her fondly. Take care of yourself and know there are so many people who loved Tula and she loved you so very much. She beamed when she spoke of you.
