Janice and Royal were among the first people we met when we joined the church on 4th St. We had good memories playing volleyball and with Lara in our youth group. May you be surrounded by loving friends and family during this difficult time.
Prayers, Pam (Miller) Thompson

Lara & Royal my deepest sympathies in the loss of Janice. I have spent 57 of Janice’s years in Beta Sigma phi as her “ sister”. She has given many wonderful years to the sorority by holding all different offices and committees. She has has served as Miss Fairmont BSP at state conventions and co chaired several of the state conventions. She was very active in local chapters until very recently. She was a true Beta Sigma Phi member and will be missed. She excelled in every thing she ever tried, doing it to perfect-
Ion. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the ritual our Members are giving to her, but I wii be there in my heart to say goodbye to a long time friend and “sister”. God’s blessings be on her family with peace and comfort. Love and prayers for all.

Janice was the first Secretary I had at Fairmont State. She taught me so much about the administrative side of an institution. We also shared much time at Leadership Marion dinners. I will always be grateful for having known her.
My prayers and sympathy to her family.

I am so sorry to learn of Janice's passing. I remember her passion for decorating the church and observing the different seasons of the church. She personally assisted me in settling into my apartment at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She was very talented in the arts.

What a wonderful woman! We spent many many days laughing and giggling together while working at Fairmont State. With her encouragement, advice, and support, she is the reason I went back to school and graduated! She cared so much for the students that she met through the RBA program. She always went above and beyond for them. I'm a better person because of Janice.

I served as the state coordinator for The Regents Bachelor of Arts (RBA) program and can attest to Janice’s passion for the program and especially the students. She was unwavering in fighting for students and helping them to reach their goals. She was a blessing for Fairmont State and for higher education statewide. I was proud to have worked with her.

I’m so sorry to hear of Janice’s passing. She was a tremendous help when my husband and I both applied to FSU’s RBA program and assisted us in completing our degrees. It was always a pleasure to run into her at various FSU functions and she stopped to chat. Hers was a life well lived. She was a lovely lady. Prayers for comfort to her family.
