Obituary of Glenda Jean Cole

Mrs. Glenda Jean “Jeanne” Alexander Cole, 75 years of age of Willis Avenue in Bridgeport passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 29, 1946 at the family home in Bridgeport to the late Thomas A. Alexander and Anna Suzanne Donald Alexander. She is survived by her husband Richard R. Cole. They had celebrated fifty-one years of marriage. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1965. She was married July 1970. Jeanne enjoyed her life as a homemaker and raising her two sons. She also very much enjoyed baby sitting for her Grandson Nathan Michael Cole. Jeanne worked outside the home intermittently to help her family. In 1994, she was trained and tested successfully as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also involved with Bridgeport Little League. As her husband coached, she ran the concession stand. She was always with her family which she loved so very much. Mrs. Cole is also survived by her oldest son Brian Richard Cole; grandchildren Nathan Michael Cole and Jacob Thomas Petroski. Her daughter-in-law Stacey N. Cole and her significant other Jeffery F. Petroski. She is the second to the youngest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Chad Michael Cole, her oldest brother John Thomas Alexander, her sister Mary Virginia Mills. She is survived by her sisters Jo Sturm of Los Angeles, CA, Susanne Buckhannon of Phoenix, AZ and Janice Spadlin of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
