Obituary of Toney Irene Garrison

Toney Irene Garrison 93, of Idamay, WV, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Genesis Healthcare, Pierpont Center in Fairmont. She was born July 24, 1928 in Mt. Clare, WV a daughter of the late John L. and Margaret G. Davis Farley. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Junior” Garrison on February 16, 1987. Mrs. Garrison was a Methodist by faith. She retired from North American Philips of Fairmont and had previously worked with Drulane Industries in Idamay, WV. Toney was an excellent seamstress and could create anything she desired. She also loved passing her time while crocheting keepsakes for her loved ones. She loved cooking for and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her biggest joy. She is survived by her daughters, Billie Jean Balint of Farmington, Charlotte Garrison of Fairmont, Kathryn Eakle of North Carolina, and Donna Carolyn Loudermill of Farmington, her 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, including a special great granddaughter, Kayla Lauryn Sigley, and two great-great grandchildren In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles V. Garrison and John R. Garrison, her daughters Susan Garrison and Lucille Gum, her brothers Floyd Farley, John Benton Farley, and Eugene L. Farley, and her sisters Evelyn Lucille Bartlett, Bessie Farley, and Normalee Curry, and her son-in-law Richard Eakle. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 122 S. High Street, Morgantown, WV 26505. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Friends and family may visit the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4PM until 8PM and on Tuesday, March 21, 2022 from 11AM until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 21, 2022 at 1PM. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
