Obituary of Willetta Barker

Willetta Snyder Barker, 87, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 18, 1934 in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Eddie F and Minnie Lloyd Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Barker in 2005. Mrs. Barker attended the Worthington Baptist Church. She had previously worked as a secretary for Layman Dental Lab in Fairmont, as well as the Fashion Shop in Mannington, and as a private caregiver in the local area. Willetta enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles in her spare time. Survivors include her sons, Robert and Tammy Barker, Doug and Nancy Barker, Eddie Barker and his companion Nancy Nutt, Lawrence Barker, Mark and Rhonda Barker, and Thomas and Kristina Barker, her daughters, Sharon Barker and her companion Phillip Morris, and Karen and Terry Lawson. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren including: Charity Correa, Brandon Barker, Jamie Barker, Heather Brown, Doug Barker II, Tonya Valdivia, Benjamin Banister, Lawrence Barker, Nicole Coleman, Holly Singleton, Mark Barker, Robert Barker, Eric Barker, Stephanie Kreuzburg, Brian Barker, Destiny Barker, Alyssa Jones, Andrew Simons, Laura Simons, and Sarah Simons, 36 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Bernetta Martin and her granddaughter, Jessica Barker. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. Family and friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 2PM until 8PM and on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11AM with Pastor Gene Floyd officiating. Entombment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
