Obituary of Paula Jean Smallwood Parrish

Paula Jean Smallwood Parrish, 63, of Fairmont passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fairmont on November 19, 1958, a daughter of the late Paul Edward Smallwood and Ivy Joann Kendall. Paula is survived by her husband, Bill Parish; children, Monica Vincent, Roger King and his wife Candace Wetzel, Amy Smallwood and her fiancé Shaun Wine, Paige King and her fiancé Tyler Wilson, and Skilea Vincent; grandchildren, Caitlin, Nickell, Reagan, Kennedy, Autumn, Alex, Iaasac, Shauna, Samantha, Shelby, Stephaine, Jayden, and Kendra; brothers, George, Richard, and Patrick Smallwood; six sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law. She loved her 24 nieces and nephews as well as several of her dear friends. In addition to her parents, her sister, Dollie Smallwood and brother, Michael Smallwood have also passed away. Paula enjoyed gambling, Starbucks, driving, going to Walmart, going on trips, and camping. She loved her grandchildren, dogs, and her friends. She was so full of life and enjoyed living it. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Paula’s memory to the Fresenius Dialysis Center, 2231 Landing Lane, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating.
