Obituary of Mary Helen Fletcher Huff

Mary Helen Fletcher Huff, 88, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah, WV. She was born March 14, 1934 in Farmington, WV a daughter of the late Fred and Mable Cowell Fletcher. Mary attended Farmington High School and started her family shortly after high school. She was a domestic engineer in her own home, her life was taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Mary was an avid gardener. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed the company of her daughter’s dogs. Mary is survived by her daughter, Catherine Huff Myers of Alexandria, VA, her son Joseph D. Huff of Fort Pierce, FL, her grandchildren, Timothy N. Huff, Mary C. Huff, and Robert L. Huff III, and her great-grandson, Robert L. Huff, IV. Mary was preceded in death by her former husband Robert Lee “Sam” Huff, her son Robert Lee Huff, Jr., her son-in-law, Gary Myers, and several brothers and sisters. Memorial donations may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, P.O. Box 905, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be held. A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 23, 2022 at Rock Lake.
