Obituary of Jerry Ashby

Jerry Lynn Ashby, 51, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1970 in Philippi, WV the son of the late Elwin Ashby & Norma Smallridge Ashby. He is survived by his wife Alena Kay Kelley Ashby of Fairmont, WV. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and received the Marksmanship Rifle Badge. He was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School and attended Fairmont State College. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
