Although it has been many years since I last had the privilege of spending time with Jan and Dave, I remember them as a fine but rare couple (two engineers from GMI at a time when few women were attending). I was a FIJI fraternity brother with Dave who I always respected as one who projected that seldom-seen combination integrity, competence, intelligence and athleticism. Jan seemed to possess those same traits, making them a wonderful, capable couple. Now, I see from Jan's memorial that they are EPC church members in Brighton in a church that I believe was a daughter church to an EPC church in Plymouth, MI where the Lord brought me to a saving faith 27 years ago. Small Kingdom, where there are no coincidences, only God's sovereign will and provision through Christ Jesus. May this eternal hope help Dave's heart to heal while we all look forward to our big graduation and reunion in our Lord's eternal presence!
