Obituary of Frederick Neal Hamrick, Jr.

Frederick “Freddy” Neal Hamrick, Jr., 62, of Rivesville, WV passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his residence. He was born January 26, 1960 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Frederick N. and Shirley Cremeens Hamrick, Sr.. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan A. Wilson Hamrick. Freddy was a 1978 graduate of Fairview High School and was a professional auto body technician with Premier Body Shop in Barrackville for over 20 years. He enjoyed his occupation and spent most of his time at work where he had extensive knowledge regarding auto repair. Freddy was known for his gorgeous garden and his “green thumb” that could grow anything. He loved to “tinker” in his garage, spend time with his beloved dog Oscar, and had a great sense of humor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-daughter KaSondra Jones of Fairmont, his grandson, Aden Foxx, his brothers, Richard and Sally Hamrick of Elkins, Ronald and Faye Hamrick of Morgantown, his sisters, Jeannie and Jay Moore of Florida, and Sharon Cannon of Colorado. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Donald L. Wilson, Sr. of Farmington, as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Trinajstick, his mother-in-law, Wilma Jean Barth Wilson, and his step-mother-in-law, Sharlotta Levone Wilson. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 4PM until 8PM and on from Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 AM with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Interment will follow at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV.
