Obituary of Adam Thomas King
Adam Thomas King, 37, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 26, 1984 in Fairmont, WV a son of David Earl King and Constance Ann Scarf King of Fairmont, WV.
He is survived by a brother Braden Charles King of Fairmont, WV, his aunts and uncles Debbie & Steve Davis of Hico, WV, Bruce & Beverly King of Surfside Beach, SC, Brian & Terry King of Fairmont, WV, and Mark & Lori King of The Villages, FL, many cousins, and a good friend, Tom Price.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Tom and Roseann Scarf, his paternal grandparents Charles and Laura Lee King, and his pet dog Abby.
Adam was a former member of the Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church of Fairmont and served on the Youth Council for the church. He was a 2003 honors graduate of Fairmont Senior High School, a former winner of the Math Field Day competition, and was a member of the All-State Band as a trumpet player. Adam was a graduate of Fairmont State University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and was a member of the FSU Jazz Band. He also played trumpet in the band, “Ultimatums”. He always loved being with his family and recently they had traveled together to Florida, where he had the time of his life! Adam enjoyed reading, traveling, experiencing new restaurants, playing billiards, the Star Wars Saga, Marvel movies, and was a huge fan of the Ted Lasso series.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A private memorial service will be held for the family with Deacon David Lester officiating. A private committal service will follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens in Weston, WV.
