Obituary of Lee Warder

Oran Lee Warder was born September 8, 1949 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of Mary Morris Warder and Willis Warder of Bridgeport. He left this world in Granbury, Texas, September 19, 2022, at the age of 73. Lee is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Lough Warder and their son Thomas Edward Warder and his wife Kimberly, who reside in Weatherford, Texas. He is also survived by his grandson, Jordon, his sister, Sue Warder Snyder and husband Ron Snyder, and brother Kim Warder and his wife Charlotte Warder, many nieces and nephews. Lee is also survived by his brother and sisters-in-law, John and Lisa Ryder Lough, Nancy Lough McKinney and Scott McKinney, Luann Lough Inge and Wayne Inge. He is also survived by his long time caregiver Lanita Newsome. He is predeceased by his parents and his grandsons, Justin and Tristen. Lee grew up in Bridgeport and graduated with the Bridgeport High School class of 1967. He attended Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. In Morgantown he worked for Beaumont Glass Company where he rose to the level of Assistant Manager. In 1975, the Warders moved to Texas for Lee to manage a glass factory. He then became President of Tempo Lighting and spent 35 years in the World Trade Center in Dallas. Lee and Janice were active members of the United Methodist Church in Dallas and later in Gainesville, Texas. Lee loved the outdoors. He took Janice trout fishing for their honeymoon, and never missed a deer season. The Warders loved to travel. Lee helped Janice in her legal and political career. He loved kids and they loved him. Lee would be honored by donations to smiletrain.org in lieu of flowers. Cleft repair surgery changes children’s lives. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV. Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:30 AM until 12 noon. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon with Rev. Dr. Dale C.
