Obituary of Katherine Rose Knight Barr

Katherine Rose Knight Barr, 83, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born on November 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Issac and Lucille Knight. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ann Lane and her husband Bill of Fairmont; two sons, Randy Miller and his wife Patty of Charlotte, NC and Ricky Miller and his wife Kathy of Inverness, FL; six grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Brandimarte and her husband Jack of Bridgeport and Pat Dzbynski and her husband John of Owings, MD; a step-daughter, Brenda Maxwell and her husband Rob; and one step-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Barr and a step-daughter, Sharon Desmuke. The family would like to extend thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the dedication, love, and support from Angie, Courtney, Corrine, and Karen with a special thanks to Michelle Perkey. Katherine was a member of Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fairmont. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Reverend James Morley officiating.
