It's November 2024 and I just happen to find this notice on the internet. I met Martha around 1982. I haven't seen her or even been in the state of West Virginia since about 1986. I was a young college student studying art and looking for a place to buy paints when I met Martha. She was so open and incredibly caring. We spent many hours together working on projects and talking about each others plans and goals, and our hopes and dreams. I am more than sorry for your loss. Martha was such a special person and I just wanted you to know that she inspired and touched the lives of so many. I never forgot Martha and I never will. My hope today is that when my time comes...I will meet her again. Please take care of one another. As I'm sure you know, family was the most important thing to Martha and she couldn't have loved you more.
