Obituary of Marylin June Franks Riffee

Marylin June Franks Riffee, 77, of Glendale Ave., Lake Milton, OH passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in her residence. She was born June 17, 1939 in Keisterville, PA, daughter of the late Clarence and Ida Woodward Franks. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Lee Riffee, Sr. who died in 1999. Mrs. Riffee was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Newton Falls, OH. She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School. Mrs. Riffee was a caregiver with home health, private care in Ohio. She earlier was active working in the nursery at Fairmont General Hospital, with 10 years of service. She also cared for many school age children. Survivors include 2 daughters and their husbands; Debbie and Don Friend of Fairmont, WV and Kim Blazek of Diamond, OH, 3 sons and their spouses; Ronnie and Wendy Hayhurst of Fairmont, WV, Donny and Terri Riffee of St. Clara, WV, and Scott and Mary Riffee of Mineral Ridge, OH, 9 granchildren; Chandra, Marla, Shannon, Michele, Jeremy, Bradley, Brandon, Gilbert, and Abby, 10 great grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Tayler, Makayla, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Emma, Parker, and Ava, a sister and her husband, Earlene and Raymond Roderick of Grafton, WV, a brother and his wife, Jim and Vickie Franks of Evansville, IN, and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Tom and Claudia Dodd Riffee, a son-in-law, Gilbert Blazek, Jr., her companion, Ron Humphrey, and eight siblings. Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV from 11:00am until 2:30pm on Friday, 10-14-16. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 2:30pm, with Dr. Rev. Glen Rader officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Taylor County, WV.
