Obituary of Frances Kay Freeland Cather

Frances Kay Freeland Cather, 75, of Fairmont passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at her residence. She was born on May 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Roy and Opal Hayes Freeland. Frances is survived by her daughter, Regina Cather McQuilkin and her husband Robert of Florida; six grandchildren, Isaac, Rockelle, Jodi, Jontz, Kaleb and Seth; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Arnold Keith Freeland and his wife Virginia of Washington; two sisters, Karen Felda and her husband Tom of Fairmont and Donita Bohrer and her husband Nelson of Martinsburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her son, Orland Duane Cather and four siblings, Norman, Thomas, Coleen and Jack. Frances was a self-employed CNA who enjoyed laughter, crocheting, reading, computers, cats and puzzles. She loved spending time with family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, Frances will be cremated and there will be no public services.
