Obituary of June Bradley Spiker
June Bradley Spiker, 94, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her residence. She was born on August 10, 1928, in Mannington, WV, a daughter of the late Ottie Ray and Opal (Cottle) Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gay Spiker.
June was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church in Fairmont, where she served on the Woman’s Association and Sunshine Committee. She also enjoyed Lunch Brunch Bible Study.
She was a 1945 graduate of Mannington High School. Upon graduating high school, June attended WV Business College. She was a member of the Life Long Learners. She formerly attended Fleming Presbyterian Church, where she was very active. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Dorcas Board, Representative to Church Women United, and member of the Choir.
June worked for Rymer, CPA Firm of Fairmont, C & P Telephone, Monongahela Power Company in the Accounting Department, and the Colony Shop.
She also enjoyed the Fairmont Women’s Club and Fairmont Business and Professional Women’s Association.
She is survived by many devoted nieces and nephews: Courtney and Sherry Harney, Cheryl and Steve Huff, Denny and Christine Bradley, William and Christine Bradley, Denise and Rick Cook, and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marguerite Bradley.
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Jeanne Spiker, brother, Ray Denver “Jack” Bradley, and sister-in-law, June E. Conaway.
Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554 on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 6 PM – 8 PM and Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 1 PM- 2 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Sunday at 2 PM with Reverend Evan Walker presiding. The interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
