Obituary of Mary Jane Sapp

Mary Jane Sapp, 88, of Fairmont, WV passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 30, 1934 in Mt. Clare, WV a daughter of the late William Frank Bable and Lettie Jane Kennedy Bable. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Eugene Nelson Sapp. She is survived two daughters and two son in laws Diane and Bob Smith of Fairmont, WV and Shannon and Chuck Cumpston of Fairmont, WV, a son in law Randy Linn of Fairmont, WV, two sisters and a brother in law Margaret and Richard Peters of New York and Nola Magee of Arkansas, five grandchildren Jeremy Cumpston, Meghan Halfin, Melinda Current, Adam Linn and Rachel Streets, six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Linn. Mrs. Sapp was a retired secretary for the Franklin Life Insurance Company in Fairmont, WV and had previously been employed by the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. Mary was a Brownie Troop Leader for her daughters. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and being with her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554.
