Obituary of Susan Louise McCartney

Susan Louise McCartney, 68, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born June 17, 1954 in Fairmont, WV the daughter of the late Willis Raymond McCartney & Alice Louise Ruble Swisher. She is survived by her life partner Jack L. Sutphin. She is survived by two daughters and a son in law Jodi Renae & D.J. Kelly of Culloden, WV and Jackie Layne Kyer of Charleston, WV, a step son Taylor Sutphin (Paige Younkins), and five grandchildren Jonathan Fisher (Sam Gooden), Aaron McNeill, Brookelynn McNeill, Tanner Kelly and Cameron Kelly. She was formerly employed by Quality Packing & Loading of Fairmont, WV. She graduated from Fairmont Senior High School and attended Fairmont State College. She enjoyed music and loved people. She was a beautiful soul who was always willing to help, often putting others before herself. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. All services will be private for the family.
