Obituary of David Matthew Buretz

David Matthew Buretz, 68, of Fairmont passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home. He was born in Fairmont on October 28, 1954, a son of the late Leo and Pauline Slamick Buretz. David is survived by his son, Jedidiah Buretz; grandchild, Abby Buretz Hutchinson; sister, Barbara Buretz DeChristopher; and special friend, Amber Rowell. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Corwin Buretz. David was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and a member of Saint Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. He enjoyed trout fishing, camping and hunting. The family requests memorial contributions be made in David’s memory to Pet Helpers, 726 East Park Ave., PMB 311, Fairmont, WV 26554. In accordance with his wishes, David’s body will be cremated.
