Obituary of Barbara Shuman Cianfrocca

Barbara Shuman Cianfrocca died on Thursday, June 1, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home in Fairmont, WV. She was born in Hastings, WV on December 11, 1928, daughter of the late Moses G. Shuman and Dealie F. Shuman. Barbara is survived by her three sons, J.B. Cianfrocca and his girlfriend Jamie Constable Choquette, Gary W. Cianfrocca and his girlfriend Lois West Williams, and Robert G. Cianfrocca and his girlfriend Barbara Moran; four grandchildren, Rocky A. Cianfrocca, Lorenzo A. Cianfrocca, Connor G. Cianfrocca, and Chelsea Wolfe and her husband Trevor; a sister-in-law, Rosie Shuman; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, John D. Cianfrocca and her siblings, Edna Suman Dunbar, Opal Shuman Robinson, Flossie Shuman Daugherty, Peggy Shuman Davis, Juanita Shuman Mirlas, Tom Shuman, William Shuman, Bruce Shuman, Esther Shuman Tennant, Les Shuman, and Violet Shuman. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Marty and Alma as well as her hospice nurse, Courtnie and aide, Andrea. In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, her body will be cremated. A committal service will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554.
