Obituary of Katherine Louise Audia Bernardo Gump

Katherine Louise Audia Bernardo Gump, 86, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born April 5, 1937 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Samuel Salvatore Audia and Nancy Lucy Ross Audia. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank Bernardo Jr. and by her second husband Robert Dwaine Gump. She is survived by her companion Gary Wolfe of Fairmont, WV. She is survived by two sons and two daughter-in-laws Tony & Debbie Bernardo of Sugar Creek, Ohio and Michael & Johnna Bernardo of Fairmont, WV, a sister and brother in law Constance & David Knight of Ontario, Canada, six grandchildren Angela Bernardo, Ariel Joerg & her husband Jonathan, Sammy Bernardo & his wife Ashley, Adrianna Pearcy, Michaela Bernardo and David Bernardo, eight great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Anthony Samuel Audia. Katherine was a retired seamstress from the Jones Fur Services in Fairmont, WV. She also worked as the head maid for the Fairmont Econo Lodge and for the Ramada Inn in Morgantown, WV. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was a longtime member of the Fairmont Fitness Gym and enjoyed playing golf at the Meadow Pond Golf Club. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A private committal service will be held for the family at a later time in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV with Pastor James Saunders.
