Obituary of Cody Tyler McClain

Cody McClain 30, of Fairmont, WV died November 20th, 2023, at his residence. Cody was born March 17, 1993 in Morgantown, WV to Lynn Mckinney(Mcclain) and Ernest Mcclain. He attended Fairmont Senior High School briefly before attaining his GED at the Adult Learning Center. Cody was a jokester and had a way to make anyone laugh out loud! He was a loyal Patriots football fan. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing around with his nieces and nephew. Cody is survived by his loving mother Lynn Mckinney and husband Frank Mckinney of Fairmont, his grandfather Gary Morris of Fairmont, whom has always been considered more of a father to Cody, grandma Carol Morris and longtime partner Dale Jenkins of Baxter, his aunt Kimberely Morris of Rock Lake, WV, his Irish twin sister Brittany Mcclain and partner Kevin King Jr of Fairmont, a bother Robert D Gump of Utah, two nieces Kya King and Olivia Pickering, and a nephew Syliss King whom loved and will miss Cody dearly. Cody is also survived by many great cousins and family members on his biological father’s side. Cody was preceded in death by his Great grandparents Harlen and Edith Morris of Rivesville, WV, and Dorothy and John Chiater of Baxter WV. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9 am until 12 noon. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home at 12 noon with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating.
