Obituary of Pauline Karen Malson

Pauline Karen Malson, 92, of Rivesville, passed away in her home on Friday, January 5, 2024, under the loving care of her daughter, Sheree Satterfield. She was born October 22, 1931 in Rivesville, WV a daughter of the late Virgil L. and Frances E. Radcliffe Ball. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Norman Lane Malson. Karen was a member of the Rivesville United Methodist Church and a 1950 graduate of Rivesville High School. She retired from Westinghouse Corporation and later Philips Lighting where she worked for over 46 years in the seal beam division. She enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with her husband over the years. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Satterfield, granddaughter, Brandi Satterfield and her companion Tom Upole, her step-children, Brian and his wife Becky Malson, Michelle and her husband Keith Konoff, David Malson, and Anita Sue Ice, and their children. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Swaney, and her niece Rose Marie Owens. The family would like to thank WVU Hospice nurses and aides for such loving care. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second Street, Rivesville, WV. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will take place. A joint Celebration of Life Service will be held for Karen and Norman Malson, and will be announced at a later date.
