Obituary of Billie Jo Stansberry

Billie Jo Stansberry, 89, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Fairmont Medical Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1934 in Edna, WV, a daughter of the late Harley E. and Geneviene Roy Shields. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Kenneth Stansberry. Billie Jo worked in the housekeeping department at the Fairmont General Hospital. Billie Jo is survived by one son, James Kenneth Stansberry, Jr. of Fairmont, three daughters, Cathryn Vuchinich, Tammy Sarli, and Terri Stansberry, all of Fairmont, as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Hess, four brothers, Jackie, Chuck, Harley, and Buddy, as well as three sisters, Virginia Luzader, Louise Stevens, and Susie Cutlip. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will occur.
