Obituary of David James Glover

David James Glover, 67, of Mt. Olive, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Charleston Area Medical Center. He was born on January 26, 1957 in Fairmont, a son of the late Eli Glover and Jo Ann (Bailey) Butcher. David worked as a Maintenance Foreman with the Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission and Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners. He enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time outdoors, where he hunted and fished. David was also an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. David will be deeply missed by his daughter, Sarah Glover, 4 half-brothers, Timothy Glover, Russell Glover, Kevin Glover, and Irmeli Glover, four half-sisters, Elizabeth Glover, Sandra Glover, Elsie Glover, and Wendy Glover, as well as one grandchild and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friend, Ralph LaRue. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. Friends will be received on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4 pm until 8 pm and again on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 10 am until 11am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. A service of committal will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
