Obituary of Mary Anne Schell Russell

Mary Anne Schell Russell, 74, of Fairmont, W.V. passed away Sunday, September 15th. Born March 2nd, 1950 in Clarksburg to the late Gerald and Dora Gayle Schell. Mary was 1968 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and retired from Fairmont General Hospital. She and her husband Wayne were active in training law enforcement service requalification, held concealed carry classes, and enjoyed many hobbies together including collecting military memorabilia, racing cars, and exploring archeological digs and historical sites. Known as a free spirit, Mary married in an airplane. She made everyone feel welcome at her home hosting many parties and reunions. Mary shared her memories of growing up in the “holler” with her many nieces and nephews. She was the life of the party, full of laughter and wild stories. Mary had many hobbies, enjoyed her flowers, taking care of her lawn, and her cats. Mary is survived by her siblings Valerie (Albert) Brown & Gerald "Pete" (Brenda) Schell and special friends Brian, Jacquie, Debby, and Shelly. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Scott Russell, their loving daughter, Lynette Nicole "Nicki" Russell Malone, sisters Carole (Edward) Gillum, Sandra (Bill) Haddox, Lula (Randy) Wilson, and brothers Glenn (Bonnie) Schell, Lewis (Charlene) Schell, and Fred (Robin) Schell.
