Obituary of Patricia Ann Clark Delapas

Patricia Ann “Deli, Pitty Pat” Clark Delapas, 86, of Fairmont, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, peacefully at home, and is now our true Angel. She was born on June 19, 1938 in Akron, OH, a daughter of the late Charles Clark and Aubrey (Lake) Clark Dooley. Patricia was a proud 1955 graduate from Fairmont Senior High School and a 1958 graduate from Fairmont State College. She served for nearly 50 years as a Registered Nurse at Fairmont General Hospital, where she cared deeply for every one of her patients and co-workers. Patricia had a true passion for history, especially the Royal Family of England. Unfortunately, she could never prove to be related to the Queen. She found joy in sharing her knowledge of history with her family as she helped mentor them, ensuring that the stories were carried down from generation to generation. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to historical landmarks. She also enjoyed crafting, cross-stitch, scrap-booking, and shopping for historical related décor. She was a very passionate college football fan. No calls were accepted on Saturdays. However, her greatest enjoyment was found in spending time with her family. Patricia is survived by two daughters, Carla (Tom) Richards of Fairmont, and Ana LeGassey of Terryville, CT, one brother, Johnny Dooley of Ohio, one sister, Doneta (Lee) Dooley Roberts of Ohio, three grandchildren, Lacey Richards, Jay (Patrizia) LeGassey, and Brook (Ethan) Denton, three great grandchildren, Adelina, Micah, and Angelo LeGassey, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Clark Caldwell formerly of Rockhill, SC, and one brother, David Dooley formerly of Ohio. The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. A Private service for the family will be held. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
