Josie was a blessing in disguise to the Polings when we were transferred to Fairmont in 1981 for my husband to replace the former manager at B F Goodrich. We were here 6 mos, BFG sold the franchise to us and Josie continued to stay on board. Needless to say our 3 young sons were put to work after school learning the tire business with Josie keeping an eye on them. “She treated the business as her own which was a good thing”! She had signals to pass on to Mr Fred when to give credit and when not to, “another good thing”!! From December 1981 to present, she’s been family. Last few years, our Freddie visited her the most, I made phone calls.. Always a pleasure to visit, to hear her laugh , ask about kids and grandbabies. She remembered all until recently. RIP dearest Josie, I can hear you greeting Fred now with” OH MY GOD , Fred. In heaven. You’ll always be loved and remembered. Connie (Fred’s wife )
