Obituary of Pascal "Pat" Luther Lucas, Jr.
Pascal “Pat” Luther Lucas, Jr., 92, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the United Hospital Center. He was born on February 19, 1932 in Morgantown, a son of the late Pascal L. and Naomi L. Jackson Lucas, Sr. Pat was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loretta J. Riley Lucas, whom he married on November 23, 1955.
Pat was a graduate of Kingwood High School and West Virginia University, where he obtained his Business Administration degree. He proudly served in the United States Navy, where he toured during the Korean War. Pat worked in accounting with C.R. Hart Company and as a Senior Sales Representative with Exxon.
Pat is survived by his sons, Michael A. Lucas of East View, Randall L. Lucas of Bridgeport, daughters, Lori A. Lucas of Atlanta, GA, and Kelly Hyatt and her husband David of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, as well as many great neighbors that watched over him.
He was also a local member of Bridgeport American Legion Post #68, life member Bridgeport Post #8492, and Clarksburg B.P.O.E. #482. Pat enjoyed the great outdoors, feeding the wildlife, visiting the local gym, and spa.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the United Hospital Center and to Reverend Thomas Horne for their love and care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, cremation services will occur.
