Obituary of Frances Hellems Nuzum

Frances Hellems Nuzum, 94, a resident of Tygart Center Nursing Home, formerly of Vermont Ave., Fairmont, WV, passed away early Monday morning in the health facility. She was born July 10, 1922 in Hinton, WV, daughter of the late Lake and Hallie Lee Hellems. She was preceded in death by her husband John Delmar Nuzum, who died in 2009. Mrs. Nuzum was a member of the former Christ United Methodist Church in Fairmont, WV. She also was a 10 year member of the East Evergreen Garden Club in Fairmont. She was a mother and house wife in the Fairmont area, enjoying many family activities. Survivors include 3 sons; John David Nuzum of Leesburg, VA, Thomas E. Nuzum of Fairmont, WV, and Bruce and his wife Marcia Nuzum of Monclair, VA, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Hellems. Mrs. Nuzum has chosen cremation services. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
