Obituary of Calantha Mae Wilkinson

Calantha Mae Wilkinson, 89, of School St., Rivesville, WV passed away early Saturday evening in her residence. She was born April 3, 1927 in McCurdysville, WV, daughter of the late Esta and Gertrude Eddy Toothman. She was preceded in death by her husband Denzil Wilkinson in 2012. Calantha loved her daughters and son-in-law and talking with various family members and neighbors, her best friend Marjorie Bragg Davis, Sis Floyd, Rose Linville, Ann Musgrave, and Carol Turek. Other special neighbors include Jay and Kelly Cunningham and Debbie Clutter. Mrs. Wilkinson was a Methodist by faith, last attending Baxter United Methodist Church. She retired from the Marion County Board of Education. Survivors include her 2 daughters; Sheila Gae Vishnick of Baxter, WV and Shelly Rae and her husband Danny Ammons of McCurdysville, WV, A sister-in-law, Lauverna Toothman of Rivesville, WV, and several nieces and nephews, Carl Ray and Patty Toothman, Donna K. and Gary Able, Ronnie Toothman, and Rodney Toothman. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry Vishnick and a brother, Donald Toothman. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 4pm until 8pm on Tuesday and 10am until 11am on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday, 2-8-2017, at 11am, with Pastor Bill Toothman officiating. Burial will follow in McCurdysville Cemetery in McCurdysville, WV.
