Obituary of Linda Sue (Wells) Ashby

Linda Sue (Wells) Ashby, 70, of Bellview passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Linda was born in Fairmont on November 18, 1946, daughter of the late Fred and Rose Ann Hood Wells. Linda was a 1964 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was employed at Fairmont Wall Plaster, City of Fairmont, Senior Citizen Center, activity director at the Arbors, Scotts Place Shelter and Community Planning. Linda was also a member of the Whitehall Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, family Sunday and holiday dinners and attending her grandsons sporting events. Linda is survived by her son, Kevin Wells of Bellview and daughter, Ria and Bob Sliger of Deerfield Estates in Whitehall. She is also survived by her loving grandsons, Hayden and Maddox Sliger of Deerfield Estates; a sister, Darlene and John Harbert of Bellview; a niece, Logan Harbert of Bellview; an aunt, Rosalee Hood of Bellview and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Irene Hood and John and Savilla Wells. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Whitehall Church of Christ in Whitehall, WV with Evangelist Kevin Lough officiating.
