I worked as Director of National Business College in Lynchburg for 3 of the years when Annie was at the Roanoke campus. We shared many laughs together, I always enjoyed her company. Anytime I’d call to talk with her, she’d answer her phone with a cheerful “Annie Counts!” To which I would always reply, “Of course she does!” and we’d both laugh. :-) She was intelligent, kind, and delightful to be around. We worked as a team on numerous projects. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. I know she leaves a hole in the lives of her loved ones. My condolences. -Victor

Annie was a very good friend of my mother, and treated me as if I were family the moment I met her. I had the pleasure of joining them on several work conferences to Las Vegas and made some of the best memories of my life with them. There was never a dull moment with Annie around-she was always smiling from ear to ear and she filled every room with laughter. It breaks my heart that she was taken from us so soon, but I am so grateful for having the opportunity to know such an amazing, selfless, and caring person.

My sincere sympathies to the family on the recent passing of Annie Counts. I was blessed to have known Annie for 10 years, as we worked together at National College here in Roanoke Virginia. Annie was a great person to know, with a positive and cheerful disposition, a pleasure to be around. As Director of Compliance and Accreditation for the college, Annie was a key director as we grew the college from 15 to 30 campus locations from 2004 to 2010. Annie was a great professional, and a great person with excellent communication and people skills. Annie will be greatly missed by our college staff and all that we blessed to know her for sure!
