We send you our deepest sympathy to the family on the loss of Ted at this time. Growing up with him in the Hopewell community, we remember him as a young child who was full of life and vitality. In the idyllic times of the 50s we often could stay up after dark on summer evenings and continue our play with all of those cousins. I recall that one of Ted's favorite games was "Cops and Robbers" that we played among the cars squeezed between those in front of "the store" and the Honor Roll in the circle. We never settled on who were the 'good guys' or 'the bad guys'. But it looks like Ted continued that initiative into his adult life and figured out how to be one of the good guys.

I am so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. I used to play cards with him and some of his friends at Fairmont State Student Center when we were students. Even though that has been many years ago, I never forgot him because of how nice he was. He was just a good guy. I have not seen him since leaving Fairmont, but know he will be missed in a world that was better for him being in it. Go with God. You will be missed.

I would like to extend my condolences in the passing of my dear friend Teddy. I have known him for many decades and spent a lot of time with our circle of friends in the 70's. He was a wonderful man with a giant smile. I was always so proud of his accomplishments and to see Detective Offutt on TV. Many prayers.

I knew Ted for many years - through childhood sports to doing work for him. He was always a guy I could talk to - lean on for advice. I'm good friends with his son, Matt. Matt, Ted and I enjoyed a dinner we cooked together just a couple months ago. Big Ted was a big part of our community & a well-respected individual who cared about others more than anyone.. He was always providing a helping hand. You'll always have a place in my heart Ted - til we meet again on the other side...
