Obituary of James Franklin Stout
James Franklin Stout, 82, of Pleasant Valley Rd., Fairmont, WV, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, in United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born May 24, 1935 in Flatwoods, WV, son of the late Garnett Pearl and Leo Hamilton Clutter Stout. Me. Stout was a member of White Hall Church of Christ. He was a graduate of East Fairmont High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp, stationed in Paris Island, SC. He retired from K&P Machine Shop in Grafton, WV. He earlier served with General Engineering, with 28 years of service, and before that worked in Cleveland, OH at Republic Steel and Products. Mr. Stout enjoyed doing personal work for his friends, such as welding, fabricating, and woodworking. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Ellen Lee Glascock Stout of Fairmont, WV, a brother, Gerald Stout of Fairmont, WV, 2 sisters, Mary Lea Radtka of Fairmont, WV and Fanny Mae and Ralph Brown of Arizona, 3 brothers-in-law, Elmer Glascock of Fairmont, WV, Ronald and Maggie Glascock of Wyoming, and Randy and Daisey Glascock of Morgantown, WV, 2 sisters-in-law, Helen and Bob White of Fairmont, WV and Kathy S. Ice of Arizona, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ed Swick, and 4 sisters-in-law, Betty Bell Stout, Alice Ann Swick, Sandra Glascock, and Carol Glascock. Mr. Stout has chosen private cremation services. Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV, is in charge funeral arrangements.
