Obituary of Julia Pearl Durrett
Julia Pearl Durrett, 78, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her residence. She was born December 9, 1939 in Baxter, WV a daughter of the late James Andrew and Mary Monzak Cozloff. She was preceded in death in 2007 by her husband Travis Vincent Durrett.
Mrs. Durrett was a Christian by faith. She was a graduate of Rivesville High School. She retired from North American Philips with over 20 years of service in the Circle Line Department. She previously had worked at Murphy’s Department Store in Fairmont. Julia enjoyed working around her house, especially in her yard. She enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, and was an avid reader. She most loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, David and his wife June Durrett of Fairmont, and Dennis V. and his wife Glenda Durrett of Summerville, SC; her daughter, Dana L. and her husband Doug Wright of Lancaster, OH; her grandchildren Christopher and his wife Michele Lilley, Danny Durrett, Christine Durrett, Travis Durrett, Johnna Sevilla, Samantha Sevilla, Rachel Richards, and Larry Richards; great grandchildren, Jackson Lilley, Molli Taylor, Sydni Taylor, and Xavier Drennan; her sister Margaret Rush of Morgantown, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Madia, her sons-in-law, David Lilley and Mark Madia, her brothers, Mike Cozloff, Andy Cozloff, George Cozloff, and James Cozloff, and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Pyles, and Frances Stanton.
Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 5PM until 8PM and on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 11AM until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1PM with Pastor Billy Prince officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV.
