Terry and I were teachers at Central School for many years. She was very kind and helpful. My granddaughter, Abby Carpenter, and Laura knew each other at East Park School. Terry and Laura were both kind and always willing to give advice.

The obituary of her life and spirituality didn't surprise me in the least. Therese learned from her mother and family the value of family, faithful friends and everyday to do the will of God in her life, no matter what that would entail. As Catholics, we learn that having a relationship with God is the source of who we are and when we have that it determines the creed we live by. A dedicated teacher for 35 years - the seeds that were planted in those childrens lives just by her having been a part of their learning. She will be missed. I remember how our mothers instilled in us the value of the corporal works of mercy. They didn't call it that, they just showed us by example that helping others gives value to the person you helped but it also gave us the blessings too. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to George, Tom and Bernadette and to the children of Therese. Death does not seperate us from those we love. It deepens our union with God and with each other. May she rest in eternal peace and happiness.

I am so sad to hear of Therese’s passing. She was such a sincere and kind lady. My son was in her second grade class and she always remembered and asked about my kids even years later. I would run into her at events in the area or on a grocery store run and we would always stop and talk for a bit. She was so proud of her kids and would absolutely light up when talking about their accomplishments. I pray for comfort and healing for her family during this difficult time. Tom and Laura, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
