Obituary of Juanita Mae Lodge

     Juanita Mae Lodge, 66, of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.  She was born November 12, 1951 in Ironwood, MI, a daughter of the late Mary Ester Thomas Holt.  She was preceded in death by her husband of seven years, Robert Aaron Lodge.

     Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Tonkery of Shinnston, and April and her husband John Burke, III of Bridgeport, her granddaughter, Kylie Marie Burke, and her brothers, Carl Dean Holt of West Union, WV, Jess David Holt of Montgomery, AL, Roy Allen Holt of Maxton, NC, and Gary Lee Holt of Waynesboro, VA

     She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Tonkery, her step-son, Robert “Robbie”  Aaron Lodge, II, her sister, Lorraine Holt, and her nephew Carl “C.J.” Dean Holt II

     Mrs. Lodge was a homemaker in her own home.  Juanita’s love for serving her Savior led her to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.  She selflessly served her community by volunteering at the Lord’s Pantry, Open Heart Ministries, and the United Methodist Women.  She especially loved planning the children’s vacation Bible school, and the Methodist Women’s Tea.

     Juanita’s greatest love was for her only grandchild, Kylie Marie.  She loved to travel and spend time with her family.  Her love for life was a true inspiration and it showed by how many lives she touched.

     Friends may visit at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV  26330 on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2PM until 4PM and from 6PM until 8PM, and on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 10AM until 11AM.  The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11AM with Reverend Samuel Cale officiating.  Interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport, WV.
