Dennis was always very kind to me and treated me as if he knew me for many years.

Oh behalf of my mother, Diane Schlosser. I am sending our love and prayers to the family of Dennis. We were blessed to have gotten to know Dennis in Florida at the Utopia treatment center where my mother and him went through treatment together. Dennis became a wonderful friend during our stay there and one that touched not only my mothers heart, but mine as well. With my mother and him both being teachers and having that shared passion they quickly became a support system for one another, even after we left and came back home to ND she looked forward to their conversations to help lift each other up while fighting their individual battles. May you know, what an amazing person Dennis is and how he truly touched so many lives as he did our own.

Dear Patty & Family,
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences during this time of deep sorrow. Our love and respect for Dennis is profound, for he was instrumental in teaching us the fundamentals of how to be basketball champions on the court at a young age, but enabled us to take those skills and apply them to be champions in life!
Dennis’ legacy is intact because he positively touched so many lives in different areas, and we’ll continue to celebrate his life and achievements infinitely. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, and we wish you solace.

Patty,
My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry.
You and Dennis have been sweethearts for many years.
I can still remember how excited you would get when he would come over to the high school at noon after cheerleading practice. You two were so cute together. From that wonderful relationship a beautiful family blossomed. I know that God and the love of your family and friends will comfort you. You and your family will remain in my prayers.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHERS PASSING..YOU DON"T KNOW ME. BUT I AM A GOOD FRIEND OF SUE AND BILL. THEY KEPT ME UPDATED ON HIS CONDITION FROM TIME TO TIME,THEY HAD REALLY HIGH HOPES FOR HIM BUT AS HIS CONDITION WORSENED, I COULD HEAR THE SADNESS IN THEIR VOICE NOT ONLY FOR HIM BUT ALSO FOR HIS FAMILY. IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL THING THAT HE WAS ABLE TO HAVE WITNESS IN THE JOY AND HAPPINESS OF HIS DAUGHTERS LITTLE CEREMONY THAT WAS HELD FOR HIM TO BE A PART OF,.THAT WILL BE SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL THAT SHE WILL HOLD VERY NEAR AND DEAR TO HER HEART. I ALSO HEARD THAT HE WAS AN AMAZING COOK.
HE WAS SURROUNDED BY A VERY CLOSE KNIT FAMILY WHO MET EVERYTHING TO HIM..NOW HE WILL BE HIS FAMILY"S GUARDIAN ANGEL TO KEEP WATCH OVER YOU AND KEEP YOU FROM HARMS WAY THE BEST HE CAN.
THERE WILL BE LOTS OF SADDEN HEARTS AND SORROW, BUT JUST TRY TO THINK OF ALL THE AMAZING MEMORIES HE WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH WITH FAMILY MEMBERS WHILE ON THIS EARTH. HE LEFT HIS LEGEND BEHIND FOR HIS FAMILY TO CARRY ON, AND HE KNOWS THAT IT WILL BE DONE WITH PRIDE.

Dennis was a wonderful man. I met him when I started cooking at FSHS, he was a teacher there. Always had a smile and kind words. He was friends with everyone that knew him. Sorry to hear of his passing prayers and hugs to the family. God has him now.
