Obituary of Okey C. "Buddy" Clayton
Okey C. “Buddy” Clayton, 54, of Fiesta Dr., Bunker Hill, WV, passed away early Wednesday morning in his residence. He was born April 24, 1963 in Fairmont, WV, son of Wanda Puffinbarger Clayton, of Barrackville, WV and the late Okey Clarence Clayton, Sr., who died in 1977. Buddy was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Barrackville, WV. He was a graduate of North Marion High School in 1981. He graduated from West Virginia University - Tech, in Institute, WV, with a BS degree in Engineering Technology. He received his Masters degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Buddy was employed with Miller Honda as a car detailer. He earlier was employed in Washington, DC as an electrical – electronic engineer. Buddy truly enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, reading, and antique cars. He went to many antique car shows. He also was an outdoor person, enjoying many camping trips. Including his mother, he is survived by a sister, Laura Hannah Clayton of Martinsburg, WV. Buddy’s family has chosen cremation services. The family will greet friends from 11am until 12noon on Tuesday, 4-3-2018, in Bethesda Baptist Church in Barrackville, WV. A Memorial Service will be held in the church Tuesday at 12 noon, with Rev. Dr. David Cyphers officiating. Burial will follow at a later time in the Benefield Cemetery in Fairview, WV. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Bethesda Baptist Church, P.O.
